Single (left image only) Fine Art Pigment Print on Acid-Free Paper Authorized Estate Edition Image Size: 14” x 11” Paper Size: 18.5” x 14” Limited Edition of 2500 Arabic Numbers 155 Collaborators’ Proofs Adapted posthumously from an early concept drawing for the 1963 book, Hop On Pop. In 1963, Dr. Seuss wrote Hop On Pop, a tribute to fatherhood. Dr. Seuss's own father, T.R. Geisel was very supportive of his son and a great influence on his artwork. He was the inspiration for Dr. Seuss's love of animals and many of the wacky creatures that populated his work. Best-selling examples of Seuss’s beloved animal artworks include the Taxidermy Sculptures, After Dark in the Park, and more. His father inspired the nonsensical and fantastic inventions and machines that became a hallmark of some of his most famous artworks and stories. Dr. Seuss's father inspired the "Dr. Seuss" name that would become iconic the world over.
