"They ran from the bank..."
Frank James, Bob Younger, and Charlie Pitts run from the First National Bank of Northfield, Minnesota, during a bungled bank robbery on the morning of September 7, 1876. This was the beginning of the end of the notorious James' gang. Of the eight men who rode north from Missouri to Northfield, only two, Frank and Jesse James, would make it back to Missouri alive. Three were killed, and the three Younger brothers were captured.
