Debbie Daniels - "Wild Unrest"
Debbie Daniels - "Wild Unrest" New Paintings
Debbie Daniels
Saturday June 15 - Sunday August 4
6:00 - 8:00 pm

We have faced challenges exhibiting our artists' new work this Spring due to a two-and-a-half-month road closure, lack of parking, and tight sidewalks, but we can't wait any longer. The sad fact of brick and mortar retail is that we need guests to actually come in and the current beautification project in Kirkland has eliminated that.

Road closure or not, we hope you'll join us for our first Meet the Artist Event in months.

As we begin our Summer exhibits, we are thrilled to feature two Friday Harbor - photoreal artists in succession, bringing the essence of the San Juan Islands to Kirkland and taking us into the Fall.

We are so pleased to welcome back Debbie Daniels in June and July and then introduce you to Kristen Reitz-Green in August and September.

Please join us in welcoming back Debbie Daniels with a new exhibit "Wild Unrest" showcasing her stunning photo-realistic paintings of the sea.
About the Artist: Debbie Daniels
Debbie Daniels is a photorealist painter whose work is deeply inspired by the natural beauty of the San Juan Islands. Her artistic focus is the sea, a subject she paints with endless passion. Central to Debbie's work is her ability to capture movement, which immerses viewers in the intimate details of the scenes she portrays.

By often excluding the horizon line in her paintings, Debbie invites viewers to closely engage with the minute aspects of her seascapes, creating a sense of being enveloped by the natural world.

Her dedication to capturing fleeting moments in time offers viewers a personal and profound experience. Debbie's expertise is recognized through her membership in the Oil Painters of America and her status as a signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists.

Inspired by the ocean paintings of 19th-century Russian painter Ivan Aivazovsky and modern master Ran Ortner, Debbie captures the endless freshness of the sea. As Charles Spurgeon aptly described, "There is always freshness in the undulation of the waves, the whiteness of the foam of the breaker, the curl of the crested billow, and the frolicsome pursuit of every wave by its long train of brothers."

Debbie works from her studio in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. When she is not painting, she enjoys golfing, riding her motorcycle, and spending time with her family.

We look forward to seeing you and sharing the beauty of Debbie Daniels' work at our upcoming event.
