"Innovations" Dusted Valley Vintners Friends of mine and the gallery, when hearing we were planning on doing a show about Washington wines, suggested that I check out Dusted Valley Vintners. So I did. I quickly discovered that in addition to several medals for their fine wine, they had recently received the 2010 Washington winery of the year award. So I went to their tasting room in Woodinville. The tasting was truly enjoyable, but what caught my eye was their caps. Dusted Valley exclusively uses screwcaps on their wine, an innovation that is fast replacing the classic cork. A fairly young winery, they have been quick to take up new innovations and are proud of their innovative sensibilities. So here I have presented several - the screwcap, the stemless wine glass and their innovative new blend.
